North Adams in the mid 1800s had a big variety of immigrants. One group of immigrants were the Welsh. Sanford Blackinton was a famous Welsh immigrant that came to North Adams in the mid 1800s. After he came, a lot of other Welsh came to join him. A big population of the Welsh Immigrants worked for Blackinton.
